The bulbs are Narva 55w jobs and I do use them for daylight running.
Suffice to say I dont contaminate the bulbs when handling them and the connectors dont seem to have corrosion.
Has anybody got any ideas?
I have googled this and it seems it happens to a number of skodas/audis but havent seen one solution
Cheers

I used to blow stop and tail lights on my A4 about every 6 months. But only ever blew a single low beam once in 15+ years of VAG ownership.
As Umai said, check the resistance and voltage at the globe. If you dont have the equipment, and auto electrician can do it for you.
