Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
Hey Keiran and Brad, hope you guys are well.

Exciting times backdoc, very much looking forward to some pics, how long did it take to arrive after you build?

Regarding dealer, I ended up going via the Campbelltown, the best price i got was Wollongong but i had committed to Campbelltown and the deal wasn't far off. Have found them excellent to deal with, alot more down to earth than some Subaru dealers.

I actually met Matt early last year at Jarvin Burwood. He was probably the best sales person i had come across in a dealer. I did go back in Dec to see hime about buying but he had left the group and not sure where he's gone. He spent alot of time showing me the pre-facelift and i've been excited about the brand ever since. It's different to what's out there for the money. I luv the RS and alot of car for the money, nothing else excites me at all unless i pay the $$$. Resale was my biggest concern but being VW backed and the inraods they are making globally, my concern diminishes but ultimately the cars great and its exactly what i want now.

Choosing the colour, this drove my wife mad and being an aquarian i believe we're a bit indecisive so i couldn't choose, but the white black contrast i think looks pretty cool even thou i haven't seen one on the road.

There's so much i will learn with the car, i didn't even use the paddles on the test drive but after a quick squirt of the car i knew i would be very happy with it. I'm moving from a manual BSpec liberty to this and can't wait.

Congrats dutchie , you will love the rs , i had a liberty wagon 3.0r b too

What is going on, so many subaru guys moving to skoda .

My theory is subaru has lost its quirkyness , now looks very mainstream .

The little things like frameless windows etc gone , lost me with this new look .

I love the look of the rs wagon , the liberty lost that cool sporty look it had in the wagon

    cheers

Easy Subies are ugly and are getting more and more overpriced...I dunno who is designing them now, but the new Liberty looks awful compared to the outgoing ones. Maybe Stevie Wonder has been doing some design work.

Agree there. The last Subaru I owned was a 1984 model wagon. They were good little cars then and so reliable. There seem to be a few ex Mazda owners drifting to Skoda as well.

Liberty? what happened to the Forester? the wrx?

We had a forester in the vehicle pool at work many years ago soon after they came out - drove it a few times and really thought a lot of it. It was the "next car in the garage" for a long time.

But with time it has become portly, lost its character and now looks like any softroader you care to name.

And don't even mention was has happened to the WRX!
