i havent touched the DV btw, its still the black bosch one thats really small so i assume its the stock one (due to wear)

think the fluttering is coming from the intake "pipe" on the dry pod.

This is like saying you have a cough and asking us what to do mate.

Nice video but without being there, not much use.

You need to have the ECU scanned for faults as we have pointed out previously.

I said earlier that the coilpacks are pretty reliable. You need to find someone on the Coast to look at it. Go and see VAGarage. I am sure that they would have a serviceable Amp to plug in. It'll fix it or not. Then move on. Shouldn't take more than half an hour to eliminate all the usual stuff.

No worries. You'll have to commit if you want it fixed. Driving like that will be dropping unburnt fuel down the exhaust and not doing the cat any favours. The tailpipe looks like it's been running rich for ages.

Could be a lambda probe but I still lean towards ignition, for experience.

Ignition control module for sure. Lack of air flow has killed it. If you have a multi meter, jumpers and a 1.5 volt battery you can bench test it.
If it is dead driving around will kill the o2 sensor and maybe the cat also. Spark plug on dead cylinder, probably cyl 3, will be in bad shape from all the excess fuel also

Try this DIY test of power output stage/ignition amp module N122 (long & BWW) - AudiWorld Forums
Im using my phone tonight. Ill check my bookmarks when I get back to the laptop.

Generally middle pin on 5 pin side is ground, put voltage on pin 1 measure resistance on pin 1 on other side repeat for each cyl. All should have a similar value. If one is way out you know its rooted. There is another thread on how to fix the thing also.

Another thing to try is removing the connector from each coil pack and see if it makes any difference.
