    R32 Haldex vs 4Motion Haldex

Now I would have thought that stock from the factory the standard Haldex controllers would be the same but I cam across this paragraph in the bentley manual...

The transverse drivetrain R32 uses a different 4Motion
system than that on other Volkswagen all wheel drive
models. A high-performance Haldex clutch is used at the
rear axle to allocate power as needed.
Can anyone confirm if this is indeed the case and the MKIV R32 controller is different than the standard controller bolted onto my 03 Bora ?

From what I have seen, all haldex is the same through the different vehicles of each generation.
So mk4's have a different haldex system to mk5's but the mk4 .:R32 has the same haldex as a Golf V6, Bora v6 4 motion, Audi A3Q, Audi S3, etc...

I think what that paragraph is trying to say is that, like Quattro, the transverse VW's use haldex, and the longitudinal based cars i.e passat, toureg, phaeton, use a completely viscous system that is not based on software at any stage, still called 4 motion.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the control parameters in the .:R32 are more aggressive than the Bora's i think but I'm sure the controller is physically the same.

    Cheers, Pedro

Well its the potential difference between the R32 and the regular 4motion that has me intrigued. If the R32 is more aggressive then it would be a worthy upgrade vs spending ungodly amounts on a blue controller.

The stock controller on the R32 and Bora V6 4Motion are identical.
    Nothing to see here...

Cheers Manaz, looks like I am back to trying to get HPA to email me back concerning the competition controller they sell. Cheaper than the blue controller we can get here yet has diff lock under deceleration which the blue doesnt. Still 900 before shipping but for what I want its the best option.
