Hi guys, Just wondering what revs I am meant to be at for quickest start possible in my R32, then the amount I am meant to change on into 2nd and 3rd. Might be going to track soon, so I don't want to be noob
Cheers,
Tom

Get a dyno graph. Usually you'll want to shift onto torque peak for optimal acceleration. Google search shows that peak of 320Nm torque between 2.5-3k rpm - so that's where you want to be launching it at IMO. Dunno what the opinions of people who actually drive them are.
Maybe dyno it to see where torque drops off as well, just so you don't rev the **** out of it for no good reason.
Might want to mention also: is it stock or modified?
you have a R32 on your P plates.... jealous!!!!
just feel it, when u feel the power tailing over note the RPM's and thats your shift point.... Seat of my pants always works for me best.

Damn you crazy p plate person with that sexy mofo car!!!
I'd agree with Josh on this one. I reckon each car would be slightly individual because of different wear etc (i'm still a noob, this is just how i see it lol) so you'll just be able to feel when there is the most amount of torque at a certain revrange. If I were you I'd take it round for a secret boot in a quiet area and find out where the good points are for shifting, so you can have a play around and really get to know the car.

Turn off ESP by pushing the button in so the light comes on in the cluster first or you will fry the clutch, then take it to about 5K and dump the clutch, if you are taking it to the strip roll through the water and try and keep the tyres a bit damp so you get a little bit of wheel spin. I have launched my car at tarmac rally events like this since I got it and I'm still using the stock clutch with no issues to date. Shift at around 6800RPM unchipped or around 7100 if chipped with the limiter increased.
Oh and save it for the track as doing this on the street is not only stupid you WILL lose your license.
Cheers Al
Rev limiter and dump the clutch! Then just control the wheelspin with the throttle.
Seriously... Who cares? Its a street car!![]()
