hi all, i spend yesterday removing my intake manifold and replacing the gasket with a newsouth power gasket, ps. this is a more annoying job that people said it would be, but anyway its done now. problem is when i was replacing the screws and tighting them ( from the centre out) i sheared the head off the middle upper one. i really pisses me off, im so dam mad at myself. could some one please tell me what my options are... is the car safe to run with that one bolt missing ( snapped off) ? and what is the possibility of removing it with out taking the engine to bits...? im guessing that at the very least i might need to be drilled out. any advice to rectify my stupidity would be greatly appreciated!!!

Take the manifold off and if the stud isn't sheared off flush with the head you'll get it out with pliers or vice grips. Easy, except for the taking the manifold off again bit. Or leave it and see if it plays up.

I know its a total pain, you can try the above but im sure itll draw air, doesnt take much. If you have a mate with a smoke machine you could smoke it first, if its gonna draw air its gonna leak smoke
( geez i love my smoke machine)
Hope it works out for ya
Cheers
