Bloody hell you go to bed early and look what happens...
Looking good Neil. You've definitely got me intrigued into what you are doing. When you say second most powerful MkIV in Australia are you taking into account that HPA twin turbo R32 that's here in Brisbane? I'm not sure what he's putting out but I can't imagine it's an insignificant amount of power of horses?
Basically I'm asking the question who are currently the most powerful and what setups are they running?

Also a general comment not directed at anyone in particular. While I never saw what happened in Mickey's thread (have heard about it though) can we all try and be bigger people and respect eachother modifications. Bagging them out especially when they are no longer here to defend themselves just makes us hypocrites.

Neil, I have sent that email.

You couldn't work with Chuck Norris, as you can't keep secrets! Inspite of having Oppenheimers or something.

Sorry, I should have said Mk4 GTI. I might be getting a little optimistic, but we'll wait for the results and see how we go. On paper it should be, but theres a lot more work to be done between now and then.

Yeah, see his problem is that he forgot that it was supposed to be a secret..

You all still don't know the finer details yet so all hasn't been revealed...

Cool no worries. I'm just not fully sure with what's out there around the place and what has been done before. I'm sure the old 1.8T can pull some crazy figures with mods anyway. Keep us posted.

Hi guys, I could be wrong, but if you go with a lightened flywheel than torque will decrease due to a lighter spinning mass and vice versa, a heavier flywheel will increase torque, so a single mass flywheel of similar weight to the dual mass would not decrease the torque. I only bring this up because one of the first recommended mods when increasing HP figures for the 1.8T is to replace the dual mass fly as they don't like to much HP. And then increase the clamp force of the clutch.

If this info isn't correct, I would like to know as this would be one less thing on the mod list and could be oney spent else where.
    Cheers Troy.
