Mk4 Gti - Indicators not flashing or clicking, but lights up.

Hey guys,


I have a MK4 gti and my turn signals are not clicking, lights turn on but dont flicker or make that clicking sound.


When i press the hazards they seem to work fine as normal, its just when i use the indicators left and right, they dont seem to work


Any one know what the problem may be? Where can i take it in to get fixed?

The hazard switch is the relay.

Replace the Hazard switch.

Had the same issue. Solved mine by spraying some contact cleaner at the base of the stalk where the contacts are. Also worth taking the hazard switch out and cleaning those contacts.

I am pretty sure there's 2 relays in the switch. My S3 did the same thing, it was a while ago but I got the cover off the relay and cleaned the contacts. It's been good a gold since.

Try the stalk but don't be surprised if that's not it.
