Headlight upgrade for 01 bora ?

    hey guys,

i live in a part of canberra that the government seems to have forgotten--- street lights don't exist and thus most of the residents have to rely on high beams to get around town..

while i love my bora to bits, i've found the headlights are pretty average (esp. on low/main beam). Do any bora owners recommend a particular type of headlight to upgrade to ? (i was thinking maybe xenon)

    i saw this on ebay:
    Headlight Globe Volkswagen Bora w Xenon HID 98 99 00 01 | eBay

would that be a good deal ? or should i look at other options?

    cheers

You cant 'legally' fit HID lights unless you also install auto-leveling and headlight washers. Normal old H4's of the good kind will give a good upgrade. These will give you great bang for your buck, I have the 80% in mine and cant complain about them at all.

Already on when I bought the car so cant say for the fitting, aligning but the phillips site says 18 mins for the left and 15 mins for the right to fit. As you are just replacing the bulbs I would assume alignment isnt mandatory but it would be worth doing the old chalk line on a wall with the stocks fitted for a backyard approach
