    cost me about 3.5k all up, but if you sourced all the bits separately you could probably do it cheaper. AGU engines can be had at pretty good prices, but you need engine/gearbox/shifter, driveshafts, intercooler, exhaust, airbox, wiring, ECU, suspension, brakes (rear brakes are the same) - as they are all different on the GTI

    so far only LED interior lighting (bright!!), but i have black leather seats from a bora to go in, leather mk6 steering wheel (I'll delete all the buttons, too much effort in a mk4 to make them work) , and 7" satnav/dvd setup

    No idea about upholstery , wheels come up on the forum from time to time, there is a flat bottomed one in parts for sale now

    The splines are the same, but you have to mod the wiring harness for the airbag(so controversy as to whether it would fire... But I will take the chance) I spent a lot of time looking into if you could get the multi function steering wheel to work. You could, but you would have to add various black boxes and get them to all function with the older mk4 system- too much effort and expense, so I will delete the buttons, you can get covers from eBay
