R32 is your best bet, they never got the 4mo setup in a bora or non 32 golf in the US
Yep! Me again with another stupid question lol
When ordering from ECS for items to fit my 01 Bora 4Motion what car am i supposed to choose suspension parts for?
Am i safe ordering from the Mk4 Jetta VR6 24v? i thought the VR6 was a FWD?
If not, then MK4 Golf V6 24v?
I don't wanna drop a bunch of cash on parts that i can't use
Thanks guys![]()

Depends what you are getting.
Brakes = MK1 Audi TT 225hp
Suspension, and drivetrain = MK4 R32 Golf
Engine, body panels, interior panels = MK4 24v VR6 Jetta
Can't get anythink like Floor mats etc as they will be LHD.
Hope this helps!
AHhhh OK!
Did not see thee .:R Models up the top
Thanks guys!
P.S. Would replacing old/worn stock 4Mo struts/shocks with stock R32 gear worth doing? Mush difference to stock 4Mo struts?
P.P.S. Also adding a stage 2 front end refresh kit.

Seb at Euro Automotive is an ECS seller. He will point you in the right direction and may even have what you after in stock. Give him a call.

If you need to replace your bora shocks and want to stay relatively stock then r32 is the way to go. Slightly shorter springs and firmer shocks from memory
Am i able to use the Bora spring on the .:R32 struts? Would that give a similar rid height to the Bora but with a stiffer ride?
I'm currently tossing up buying used .:R32 struts + springs off ebay UK for $80 per corner plus $60 postage for both. Don't know if it is worth it though when they cost $175 brand new from ECS. The main difference is the overall cost of postage on my ECS order. Nearly $80 less postage with 2 fronts struts removed from the shopping cart.
Anyway, a decision needs to be made and an order placed within 48 hours.
Do you guys mind if i throw up a few link from the ECS website and have you (hopefully) confirm that i am about to buy the right gear for my 4Mo?
Any reason why you want to keep the bora springs. Bring it down a touch and the control arms will be closer to level.
Throw a link up
The main reason is because i don't want to lower the car in any way before i take it in for the blue slip. I have also had a recent sump scare but i suspect thats because the standard shocks are rooted?
Other question?
Do the tie rod assemblies from the .:R32 go in the Bora 4Mo?

I will likely buy coilovers after i get some wheels but that wont be for a month or two. Thats the reason for considering second hand ebay units.
I would also consider some lowered springs and quality shocks as an alternative.
Anybody know what the ride would be like with standard springs and these?

I can either get the Bilsteins the first time and attempt to get the ride height as close to the eye as optimal OR i can save as much cash as i can on this order and have more to spend on coilovers.
Thanks for the help Dylan
