    BSR Tuning ECU

Anyone done this to their Mk4 GTI?

Volkswagen Golf 1.8T - ECU, Tuning kits, performance chip, car chips, tuning parts

I'm a Mk4 newb so correct me if I'm wrong but the $ seems pretty good compared to APRs GIAC etc.

    Thoughts?

I'm about to fit my Milltek Cat Back. Should this be done before you flash it or doesn't it matter?

Also, is soldering an issue? I presume from a "Revert to stock" perspective it is.

Is the custom code multi program//switchable or single tune? stock - valet - high octane etc?

    Thanks

No problem with soldering a chip in the ECU, just an unnecessary operation with the right equipment. No multi program options from Custom-Code or other tuners that I am aware of.

With Phase 1 software it makes no real difference fitting a cat back. The downpipe is the major restriction. You would feel a small improvement though, whenever you fitted it.

I doubt you'd find yourself putting it back to stock.
