I think red looks good.. it's a nice contrast.![]()
a Blue Colour.. i think the Red Spark Plug Plugs are stupid and clash with the Whole "Volkswagen racing theme"
on the MKIV Rs
i know black ones are available... so i may just go that way.. (as mine need replacing they were broken by some fool in the past
Im getting my Audi S3 strut brace dipped stripped and re coated in a Dark blue (with a likeness to the VWR blue colour)
I think red looks good.. it's a nice contrast.![]()
havent seen any blue ones before & and i do like the red but im with you in saying blue would be better in keeping the "theme" and would look nice![]()

ok now here is another curveball
does any one know the Paint Code of Volkswagen Racing Blue?
(ie the colour of the springs and brakes etc)
Do a search of the R32 thread on VWVortex the code is there and may even be in the FAQ thread.
Update: you need to get the G2 caliper paint kit as it is made to take the heat generated by the callipers and is the closest match to the original blue.
A how to can be found on Bills Web Space just over half way down the page. Your best bet is to remove the callipers to do the job properly. I have also asked Graeme if he has the actual VW paint code for you and will post it if he does.
You can also buy the G2 calliper paint from Ebay
Cheers Al

It's actually vw jazz blue witch is a stock colour for the golf, the prototype R32 was painted in that colour with colour matching calipers etc when production came of the car that that colour stuck around on the calipers and suspension if only they decided to leave the big brembo's as well.......
