There should be a black "felt" factory pad already installed. Simply unclip it, apply your sound deadener (Dynamat, RaamAudio BXT...) and refit the factory pad. This will help with sound resonance and radiation from the bonnet.

It does help.

If you want to improve sound levels INSIDE the vehicle you need to get under your carpets, door trims...etc
Thanks for the comments. My new Multivan arrives in July. Hopefully it woun't need extra sound deadening inside....but I will have to wait and see.

My current Caravelle is reasonbly quiet at speed, so am hoping the Multivan will be at least simliar - only have driven a multivan briefly to compare.

Ps My 2000 Caravelle petrol auto is for sale in July for anybody interested. Excellent nick with just 115,000 ks and reguarly serviced.

Thanks,
Scott
