Scott........you can get the trims re-sprayed or re-finished any time. There's a few places that do auto plastic restoration and colour matching....perhaps you should suggest that your dealer investigate such a service on your behalf.
There is no film on mine so I assume it was done at the factory. I wonder why it does not include the driver and passenger window?[/QUOTE]
Thanks guys for the feedback. I suspect something went wrong with the order - or the factory forgot. The dealer did comment that it is difficult to match exactly tinting the front windows with the rear windows factory tint as the rear glass is of a green appearance. In any case I am very happy with the local job - and that front and rear is uniform.
I am not very happy with some of internal trim quality and there are some trim items (including white stuff on middle blinds, middle seat arm rest scarring, front door trims where the window switches are, light switch panel scarring ) currently being replaced under warrantly. Also the front pillar trims next to the front seats (ie where the seat belts are located) have patchy colour finish.
The dealer said that they can also order new pillar trims, but there is no guarantee that these will be any better finish. I actually checked every other new Multivan in the dealer with Anthracite colour interior and they all had the same issue of patchy colour finish with the pillar trims.
In the end, I decided to put up with these two items and just get the rest of the items sorted, as I was nervous that pulling the existing pillar trims off and putting new ones on would result in further issues in terms of fastening.
Sometimes one needs to know where to draw the line.....
Regards,
Scott

Seano, thanks for the thoughts. I will check further with the dealer.
Best Regards,

PS: I still haven't sold the Silver Caravelle!! The enquiries to date are from people who have not even arrived at the general decision of whether they want to buy any Caravelle or not or whether mine is the right or wrong Caravelle for them. They visit and ask questions about the functionality of the vehicle (which they could easily research before hand) and comment on the terrific condition of my vehicle. One feels like saying I am not running a bloody car yard .....so bugger off tire kickers![]()

better off by word of mouth and/or on the side of the road with a good sign.
I ended up selling it to the courier who drops in now and then.
don't worry someone will snap it up it does look quite tidy
Good Luck![]()
Scott....try talking to your dealer about selling the Silver 'Velle on their lot on consignment - it'll cost you a bit (a grand?) but might save some hassle.
