    Narrow tyres. Where to get?

Narrowest I've found is 175/60. I'd like to get 165/60's. Anyone know where I can get a set? And who would be willing to stretch them over 7" wide rubber?

    Cheers

I think a model that came standard with a similar profile was the Diahatsu* Copen. Maybe even 165s, I'm not sure. That might help you chase them down.

for 14's, you can get 185/55 in continental ecocontact EP.... real cheap, about $95 each and are good tyres for a mk1... on a 7" wheel you would see a little stretch (not much) but boy, value for money wise they are great.

i have them on my e30 BBS (14x6.5) on my mk1. i'm very pleased with them...

You can get smart car tyres in a 165 50 profile. Made by Nakang

Not too interested in grip as the car is gonna be low so there goes handling out the window.

We've settled for a set of 185's with the look to get some 165's in the future when they need replacement. Shame as I would have liked the extra lowness that 165-stretch would have provided.

    Cheers guys
