    My new MK1

    Hey guys

Just letting u know that the 1976 Mk1 that sold for $3050 on ebay is headed to sunny Brisbane, where it will be enjoyed and looked after..

the car needs a general tidy up and has the usual bumps and scratches expected of a 30 year old car...all minor except for cracks in the dash and a slight tilt, however its still the best original one i have seen of the australian made mk1's

the car drives tightly, steering gearbox, i had forgotten abt the brakes (or lack of) tho especially coming from my WRX...needs a service to cure a slight misfire and idle etc

anyway not planning any mods, keeping as is in the garage for sunday drives and shows etc...and maybe a bit of an investment given there is a '76 4 door available for sale at $7500 in the current issue of unique cars..

Glad the group buy idea didnt come through!

Yeah i have thought about the modification bug that seems to infect everyone...if i eventually do anything it willl be full respray in original white, fix the dash, wheels and lower it...while still keeping the original old school look, leaving the motor as the factory intended...

Dont know how to post up pictures..so if someone can help it would be appreciated...

    cheers
