Luke, come see me when your next on break, I have a set that I can loan, also have a few metal stamping companies that you can go see. Expensive bit will be milling the die halves for the stamping, but we may be able to sort that out also.
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

You'd be surprised what you can get away with if you only want to make a few sets. I've made quite a few hand press tools for prototype stuff.. They don't need to be super elaborate.

The brackets are real hard to come by. I made one set of the straps for them by hand for a member here who had the main part but not the smaller strap part.

When I've got time I was thinking of trying to re-design the mounts to using some more available clamping mechanism.

You don't owe me anything Pete, but when you get time I'd be appreciative. If it means me only drilling into the car once then I'll be stoked.

So.... I ended up buying a set of the Autotech bars for my project racecar.

Looks like they only have limited amounts of the brackets, they're website has changed since I ordered the kits and I didn't get the inner brackets for the front. Got everything else though.

    Autotech Sport Tuning: Swaybars

Light weight means lighter race car and less postage , they're only about 10kg.

Front is 25mm and rear is 28mm.

Front bar uses stock mounts and I was able to get a kit with nearly all of the brackets new.

Rear bar uses stock mounts on the beam and custom mounts on the shock tower.

The mounts with the bolt replace the bottom shock mounting bolt.

Are the mounts for the end of the rear sway bar installed horizontally? If so it must handle a massive force trying to snap it off the bolt head. Doesn't look strong enough to handle it but hey, what does a Govt worker know about high tension mounts.
