    the big screw is for air and shouldn't be adjusted on its own.The small screw next to it is for fuel mixture adjust that one as well.

    got a click! played around with both fuel and air, still nothing.

    Does the car run ok with no idle? We need more info.
    Could be the idle jet.

    yeah runs fine, but just cant get an idle.

    Just advice from a diesel guy, but if your carbie is like most of that vintage it'll have an idle jet. Perhaps it's blocked?

    You could try revving it and then with a gloved hand, block the top of the carby. Might suck the stuff oput of the carby. If that doesn`t work rebuild time.
