I really doubt that's the cause – the whole engine shakes in its mounts when it does it so it's obviously something more major. Also would a rattly fuel line cause an engine to stall?

I concur that this is not the problematic noise...I tried moving to the other mounting point as well but I still have the noise.
Not getting the car back until tomorrow now :( apparently the boot lock came in late and now has to be installed tomorrow...
The injectors have been changed though.
Wow! I forgot just how smooth and quiet modern diesels are when they're working properly! It feels like a brand new car now.
Oh, and being able to see the contents of the boot at nighttime is a plus too ;)

Ooh... Lightbulb!
VW even dropped the car off at home for us (by request) and they actually said "We don't usually pick up and drop off our customer's cars, but for you we are happy to go the extra mile."
Haha yeah I'd believe that if they didn't accidentally drive our neighbours Touareg down our driveway after it's service a while ago. Oh well, they tried at least.
My dash rattle/"tapping sound" was apparently due to a piece of plastic in the air con duct.
The door squeak was the old "door catch" and "loose panel" but I think it now makes more noise then when I gave it to them, so I may need to invest in some noise deadening material.
