    Well ours doesnt make any noise at all when moving steering wheel

    Yeah, I never noticed any buzzing when parking the test vehicle I drove.
    I should collect my new car this week so I can comment further when I get it.

    You'll only notice it with the windows down and perhaps something near by (wall, other cars etc.) to reflect the sound.

    I can hear mine when next to a wall, which must mean its loud seeming I can hear it over the diesel racket.

    Well the mrs has done just over 4K now and got her first problem last week... A loose sway bar mount bolt... Came loose randomly...

    What I dont get is why there isnt a free check up after 1K like most to make sure everything is running smoothly

    Early check-up varies from dealership to dealership. It's not something that is endorsed by Volkswagen Australia. As it's free to the customer, it is at cost to the dealership. Other manufacturers reimburse the dealership for the first service.

    Chances are it still wouldnt have been identified. That stuff should be checked, though is unlikely to have been at pre-delivery. Luckily it's just a sway bar mount. Checked your wheel nuts lately??
