today it did it everytime in manual mode between 3,000 - 4,000rpm with the foot down, D and S is fine
did they explain what it might be? software related?
Thats it exactly. Well the good news is I took a VW mechanic for a drive, only had to demonstrate it once for them to realise its a problem. Booked in for next Tuesday.
If its only happening once a week, keep an eye on it. My does it every 2 - 3 change unless its in D or S.

mine is booked in for this friday for inspection and looking at the 2-3 shift smash, the lady booking suggested it could be driver related. lol, goddamn its a dsg im just pressing a button to shift gear. perhaps my feet are in the wrong position. haha.... oh dear
Thanks guys keep me informed... I won't be going to a dealer anytime soon.
I need a car to get to n from work hence its gonna be a long wait to get mine looked at.

shouldnt they provide a courtesy car if you give them a week or more notice? or is that only for paid scheduled services?
Last time I asked, they said the wait is over a month.
Hence, I don't really want to deal with a dealer...

Fixed it they said, don't worry they said. Myself and Gavs warned most of the masses that the 6C would inherit the 6Rs demons dual charged engines or not...its the drivetrain that's a pain in the tookus, OY VEY!
I had a demo drive in one and while the salesman was giving it a hiding the changes were atrociously hard, banging into gear on every change. That with the fact they haven't fitted Xenons as standard lost the sale.
I have never experienced this in mine so over the last few days I tried unsuccessfully several times to replicate this in manual mode. While the change under full throttle in manual mode is not as smooth and fast as in S there is certainly no thump or clunk 2nd to 3rd, just a very savage exhaust fart that I can 'feel' as well as obviously hear, 'worse' fart under full throttle (I love it!) than is S, all perfectly acceptable and enjoyable to me.
Doubt it, but could this clunk you are hearing and feeling be DSG turbo fart/exhaust related? It's still there for 3rd to 4th but it's less violent.
