Hey guys just interested to see what sort of performance numbers you guys are getting with your Polo GTI's in:
    *Stock form
    *Chipped

Im after some figures from 0-100k's and 1/4 mile times aswell as hp/torque figures

    Cheers Nick

APR Chipped, APR Downpipe, Forge TIP, Engine Mount

0-100: 6.6s (had a fair bit of wheelspin, yet to try it again)
Dyno: 120.9kw atw (had an exhaust leak, yet to try it again).

APR Chip only, also Dual Port BOV (to ensure no boost leak)

have not tested 0-100 but have blown many a V8 off (much to your disgust nick , or is that why you are getting one....pure surprise). our 0-100 times after chip is said to be very low 6's (6.1-6.2)

dyno'd on the same dyno and same day as sam (tosspot) and got 122.2kw atw.

    Cheers,

    Rhys

Low 6's to 100 is pretty snappy should surprise quite a few cars on the road.

Rhys: Haha nah i love it when a little unsuspecting cars take out much bigger more powerfull cars including my own (even though it hasn't happened yet). I can't wait to see my mates faces when i smoke their arses in their v6 and v8 commy's off the line
On another note is there any issues with the MAF reading incorectly when you change to a non plumb back BOV or have you run the second port back into the intake to take care of the leaning out issue?

I think i'll be going chip the day i leave the car yard, they seem to completely change the car from what i've read.Might even have to shell out on a turbo upgrade too to make things a little more interesting.

If you vent to atmospheric you will probably get a check engine light. I have also been told that its possible the car may even go into a limp mode if you go full atmo.

A few guys on here run a dual port including myself and I have not had any issues so far. I run a Turbosmart Kompact series BOV.

If you search the forum you will find lots of info on this topic it has been discussed before.

Kai who is a member on here ran the Turbosmart Kompact Series Dual Port BOV and said after about a year of it, his car just 'shut down' completely on the way back from brissy at night time. lights went and everything! he said he just put the clutch in, restarted the car and all was good....wierd

i run the same BOV and have done for a couple of months now, nothing bad as yet (touch wood). i really notice it holds boost better throughout the upper end of the rev range, and my dyno day results showed it as well. i was looking at the full plumbback but for the extra money, i thought it was worth getting the dual port because it comes with a screw in plug that replaces the trumpet, in turn, making it full plumbback if anything bad were to happen.

MACCAA: Hey Maccaa what MPH were you getting on that run?

[-Polo GTI-]: I might have to try a dual port, one with the ability to be completely blocked off if the need arises later on.
