Haven't seen it for two weeks!
Just kept the stock air feed and am in the process of finishing up a heat shield that will integrate the intake and the secondary air pump... For now, I just have the stock air feed pointed at the filter.
Haven't noticed any ill affects with regards to engine running etc (seems throttle response is improved a little) but I said the same thing about the atmospheric bov and that ended up causing no end of problems after a couple of few weeks :( I'll leave it on for now and report back.
Am hopefully going to get it on a dyno next week to see how many kW's it's putting out after the tune and get a feed back on A/F ratios
i am very close to investing in a set of KW V1's, so cheap ATM...
Mine are getting installed next week... Guys at DPM Performance.co.uk are great to deal with if you are ordering a set, but you will have a 5-6 week wait from date of order :-)
Btw, KW make a GTI-specific set of coilovers which have modified FSB locations to stop clashing with the driveshaft, just make sure you order the correct set
P.s. my glossy pillars arrived today and will be going on tonight!!
Yeah, def the Proper GTI ones (05280039).
DPM, under a grand landed to Sydney.
Yeh i was looking there too. Next pay packet i think :)
I'm selling my other car soon, and part of the deal to myself was to spend a little bit of cash on my GTI, to stop the thoughts of selling it to upgrade. I am trying to decide what best to do. I only want to use around $1000, maybe $1500 maximum. I am thinking tune and springs/shocks? Was going to get some wheels but I would only end up cheaping out on tyres to get them into my budget :)
Coilovers + chip.
Giac and KW would likely blow your budget, If I go ahead with KW, you can have my AP's, they will only have about 10,000 k's on them, likely only worth $400...
