Which tune is Quicker - APR

    APR V1 VS APR V2

There was a previous thread but this was never resolved..

Which tune was quicker 0-100km/h and over the quarter mile.

    All other modifications being equal.

Lets not talk about the characteristics of the tunes but black and white. Which tune is quicker. the previous thread talked about the different natures of the power delivery but never really determined which was quicker.

    Noooooooooo!
Like asking how long is a piece of string....Some like V1,some V2.
You can't compare tunes 'cause no-one has tested them against each other in the way you state.
Everyone thinks theirs is best, and this will degenerate into a chip s***fight faster than you can say "not this again"
    PLEASE don't go there...

I had V1 and now i have V2. I have not tested over the quarter or anything but it certainly 'feels' as though V2 is quicker (due to the lower end increased torque), but it's most probably not. I know this is not really what you want to hear but this is all we have to go off unfortunately.

To test over the quarter mile wouldn't that useful unless there was a significant difference in time between the cars, which i imagine there wouldn't be. Variables using different cars include fuel weight, age of car (every engine is slightly different in power), weight of driver etc.

Even if you used the same car and same driver, it is not possible to be precise. You would have to do the V1 quarter run, then load V2 and wait a couple of days for the settings to fully settle in. By that time, weather conditions (wind and temperature) would have changed. It's just not possible to ACCURATELY compare the two.

To settle this, let's just say they are even! One has more torque and available at lower-end, the other has more high end power. Both positives cancel each other out!
