    I fried my clutch

    What aftermarket options are there and what price?

    or should i just go get my free replacement from vw.

    I dunno what happend. I suddenly put my foot down on the highway in 5th and it just revved and went know where. I babied it home from there

    It's only a matter of time untill this happens to a few more of us.

    You have a few bits and pieces done to your car right????

    How many kms did the clutch last?

    Go back to the dealer first and see if they will warrant it. Most manufacturers
    will not warrant a clutch after a certain amount of kms.

    If that fails, then consider aftermarket options

    Just hit 80000k's

    Ive done abit. Not heaps.

    I booked in for wednesday at highway vw in brisbane.

    Just the normal stuff.

    I looked on the exedy site. They only have a standard replacement.

    oh and btw.

    VW said 678 for new clutch if its not under warrenty. lawl.

    80,000 out of a standard clutch with a huge power increase and alot of trashing isn't bad at all!

    I was just randomly driving along the highway and i went to put my foot down in 5th and it just revved and wouldnt go anywhere.
