2016 Golf R, APR Stage 1
2010 Polo GTI 9n3, 4 Program APR Tune, PD160, White line front and rear sway bar
This show is sponsored?!
Personally I'm glad the presenter didn't gel with the car.
08 9n3 Polo GTI
Mods: heaps
He has a point. Stock GTI is boring, tuned is fun but skinny tires, FWD and high COG don't make for a fast car.
If you're into fast subies or nissans and expect big things of a polo I can see how you'd be disappointed.
Also MCM is an awesome show... don't write it off just cos one dude doesn't like your car![]()
I think you're missing the point man. The show is called Mighty Car "MODS" and he gave up after 2. Didn't even get a tune or coilies or anything that would actually make him say wow as us Polo drivers know.
If he added a FMIC and Stage 2 tune to the exhaust then if he's any good at driving then that set is proven to do 13's down the quarter mile. Not bad for a little girls car without a big turbo strapped to it.
I thought he said at the end of that episode that he already sold it and bought another project car![]()
Anyhoo if not, I hope someone can give him a spin in a well tuned and modded Polo so he can realise it's potential!
Glad you're still rocking your Polo too Philthy![]()
2500-4000 rpm with a good tune, decent airflow and good tyres / traction. This is above all else what I love about the Polo. He didn't get that, didn't drop it, its a pretty placid and average car without those IMO.
Had a play in the new 208 GTI, pretty fun little car.
A video that I have put up before. Basic mods:
