Exhaust fault light! - Battery reset, iPod cable doesnt work!

    Hey guys,

Driving home today and when i turned the car on the exhaust fault light came on. Checked the car and didnt notice it running any different to usual so tried just resetting the car battery to reset the fault light. Well it worked and the light is gone (for now).

BUT, i had to turn the automatic windows back on (thank you manual), but now my CD changer port wont work! Which was connected to my Xcarlink iPod cable. Anyone know how to get it working again? Or if the exhaust light is anything to worry about even though a battery reset has cleared it?

    Ps: Stock exhaust

Is that the Orange lamp ? I had that light up at about 12000km, took it to Barloworld, they reset it and it hasn't come back again, now at 18,500km. Could be a few different things, at the time they were happy to reset and were not bothered to look into it unless it came back.

not sure on yours but, I had an issue with my ipod where it would come on showing that everything was ready to play but would not start, checked all connections, same, went through ipod settings, same, was talking to a guy at retrovision about it and he said simple, reset your ipod they get confused some times and lock-up.
He reset it and it is working great.

    Hope this helps. Cheers ssman

Thanks, though i use my iPhone on the iPod cable not an actual iPod. I'll try reset my phone though i guess.

I think its to do with the headunit. You normally select the CD changer by pressing the CD button again right? When i do that it flashes 'no cd' or something similar and then goes back to the CD in the headunit.

The sensors can go pretty easily, if the code is not coming back soon after, should not be an issue.

Ok so the light came back on my way to work this morning

I'm going to borrow my friends Scangauge 2 so i can read the code and see what its saying.

Might have to do with a low speed rear end that happend a few weeks ago. Some ****head rear-ended me at about 40km/h though no visible damage. Probably did something though now that the light is on. Arghhh.

Driving to Melbourne in a few days too so i dont want any problems with the car.

EDIT: Ok i scanned for code and its P0411. "P0411 Sec.Air Inj.Sys. Incorrect Flow Detected 16795"

Ok i found my problem! Just a cracked hose. My Forge DV leans against the vacuum pipe out of the combi valve causing it to bend more than usual and crack. Ive just snipped the end off and reconnected it for now but i'll probably need to get a better hose that wont break or shift the DV somehow to avoid it leaning on the vacuum tube.

Edit: And for some reason, fixing that, my iPod cable works again. Go figure. Haha.
