Sounds like you are low on coolant to me.
Give it a couple hours then check the levels. Just had to top mine up a week ago and thats exactly what happened to me.
My coolant temp light came on today and continued flashing. This happened probably within the first minute of starting my car, and the temp gauge needle hasn't even moved past the first quarter. I pulled over, restarted the car, and it was gone. Drove it home carefully. Is it something to be worried about?
Guess I'll check the coolant level when it cools down a bit.
I just installed the BMC filter and Seat intake, though I don't see how they can contribute anything to this?

It is worth keeping an eye on things, in my experience the coolant light is super senstitive.
I find that a hard run on a hot day with the AC on is often enough to upset the light. A very small top up of the fluid often fixes the problem
i had a leaking radiator on the left side seal. it was just enough to smell , reduce coolant levels but not enough to drip down. I just ended up buying a new radiator OEM - $240 . changed it over on the weekend myself . 3 hours of blood sweat and tears.
When it's warm can you smell coolant ?
Hmm... It happened again yesterday. I checked the coolant levels, and they seem fine. I might just top up a small amount later. What happens if you over fill? I assume the "Max" line is there for a reason.
