It is just the general lack of respect for other people's property as mentioned time and time again. What can you do? Furthermore what is worse is the sheer amount of bad drivers out there on the road with a cardboard cutout they so call a 'licence', stating they supposedly can drive. Honestly, people should be made to resit tests on a regular basis, and if they fail, they cannot have their licence back. Or even better still, if enough complaints has been lodged against a particular driver in a vehicle rego'ed "x", they should have their licence suspended until they can resit a test to prove they 'can' drive.

I also firmly believe that people caught defacing other people's vehicle's or property should face severe penalties, such as heavy fines (along with serving community service time), or do some jail time.

Tosspot: I hope you really get that sorted out with the girl who swiped your car. Dont leave it too long as past experience taught me. My previous car if you've read in a previous post was sideswiped badly on the front end when someone turned out too early from their park. Problem is - I didnt report the incident to police or other authorities within the 'proper' timeframe. Apparently you have 3 days in which you must report to get the other party's insurance to cough up the repair bill. So do it asap. Hope she gets what she deserves.

If there was any type of dint or scratch I would have rung insurance immediately. I remember her license plate cos the mole has a betty boop personalised plate and dresses like she's from Panic at the Disco TO WORK.

I'm still furious but there is no damage other than a light scratch to the glossyness which I'll try to buff out.

I'd be more scared of what the law would do to me after what I had done to them.

There is no proof of a crime if there is no body to be found...I had my car keyed a fey years ago, and I have vowed to break every finger of anyone I saw key a car...Its pure jealousy that someone would do that, and anyone who dose it dosn't deserve to have the right to have the continuing use of there legs.

That's so true. There are alot of jealous and gutless ***holes out there.
I've thought about making my MKIV look better with rims and other stuff, but what for? So some ****er can ruin what I work hard for!! I'm leaving it stock as so people see just a normal VW and leave it alone.
As far as seeing or suspecting someone doing something to your vehicle, confront them but be cautious about your safety.
Tell them you have witnessess and you will perform a citizens arrest if they don't cough up. Get their details and call the cops. Then they will try to run or **** themselves. When that happens you know they have something to hide.

The stupid little mole is denying she did it, I kinda wish my car had damage so I could make a claim to actually get something repaired.

The same way you would deny it if she came to you about key damage the whole way around ?

I think we all agree that keying is very, very low, and we all feel for the victims - however please keep the discussion within forum guidelines. I.e. any avenues discussed should certainly be above board.
