    Car Bra...I Need Some Support!!

Hey Guys...I have run several searches, but have come up with nothing, but I was wondering if any of you guys have a Car Bra fitted to your Polo, and is it worth the money? The main reason I am asking is that I am driving to Townsville form Darwin soon, and I will be doing semi regular runs between Townsville and Sydney, and don't want to damage the front of my car.
    Any info would be great.

    Cheers...Ryan

i'm glad you are looking at one for a good reason, i was getting worried there for a minute. if you were getting one 'just for the hell of it' i would have to give you a wack over the back of the head . they are the ugliest thing ever.

regarding your question, i have not seen any 9N polo's with a car bra nor have i ever seen them available. maybe give old VW a call and see if they actually make them. i wouldn't imagine an aftermarket company would see much profit out of making a bra for the Polo. it's generally only really the family holdens, fords and toyotas where it would seem worthwhile.

I've seen some on GTI's overseas. I want one for trackdays to deal with all the rubber when I'm passing EVO's

Google it. There is one in Melbourne, Carbra, and another I think in Syney. They can now be made in colour.

I've got OziCozi film protection on my white GTI ... now on a white GTI it looks really average. On a white car you need to really look after it because the discolouring looks rubbish, there are newer films out that don't discolour. I've seen it on silver and darker cars and you hardly notice it. Problem is, you need to take your car to get it done.

Worth giving them a call, http://www.ozicozi.com.au/contact_info.htm unless you can get to Brisbane though it may not be an option for you.

Mate, I'd kill myself before driving my GTI Townsville to Sydney regularly (Thats a 5000km roundtrip !!!!! ) ..... Last month I drove the wife's RAV to Sydney and back (from BNE) over a single weekend and at 100km/h (mostly) it is utter boredom ....

Driving the GTI at that speed for that long would have killed me .....

Just got a online quote back off the Car Bra makers Robco...$350, which I must admit was alot cheaper than I thought(I was thinking $500).

In regards to the long trips, it dosnt really bother me these days...I have done between Darwin and Sydney in 3 days, twice by myself in my old Barina SRi, and once with my old man in the Polo, and have done the drive between Townsville and Sydney about 6 or 7 times when I had my old VS Dunny Door when I was last posted there.
Long Drives don't bother me, but I still reckon the most boring drive is on the Hume Highway between Albury and Kalkallo. I would rather drive and have my car on leave, then fly and have no way of getting around, and besides, I have to put a minimum amount of kilometers on my car for FBT reasons, and the Defence Force pays me more to drive home on leave!!
