Exclamation Persistent ABS and ESP faults after drained battery

So thanks to a PolarFIS glitch (which every so often freezes leaving the CAN bus gateway somewhat disconnected) and me not driving the Golf since last weekend I found the battery drained due to accessories not being turned off when I last removed the key as they normally would/should.

Due to timing I had to leave it and head to work. Family member called and offered to take the battery out and charge it up in the shed. Sure, no problem, I've had the battery disconnected a few times now, now big deal to reset the clocks and recalibrate the power windows and ABS sensor.

So I get home to find the battery reinstalled with enough power to start the engine, and I get the usual beeps ("Defect Brake Servo", followed by "ESP Fault", with the ESP and (!) warning lamps illuminated) but whereas a short drive would normally clear the warning lamps they have stayed on since with multiple trips. I have cleared all DTCs (most of them related to low voltage) and these remain:

I've checked an older VCDS log file and the ABS control module coding is the same. The dealer replaced rear brake pads last week.

Any ideas on the cause and resolution? I've got an interstate trip scheduled on Sunday so am hoping to fix ASAP tomorrow. The car steers and brakes ok (obviously) but I can feel a difference in behaviour. I'm pretty sure ESP is disabled from how the car feels plus holding the ESP Off console button doesn't produce any 'ESP Off' messages.

    TIA
