It's strange as it only really happens after the engine has warmed up. Another instance is when you've been stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for say a 2minutes without moving. But either way the DSG tune is good fun, although I have noticed that fuel consumption may have increased a little - could just be my foot though

Based on what Guy was saying in his Dsg tune thread under the harding subforum, the dsg goes into 1st gear more often than attempt a low speed takeoff in 2nd for the purpose of minimising clutch wear in too high a gear. I take this to mean shudder in 1st is not as bad as 2nd.
Would be interesting to have him comment further.
I would argue if the shudder is on initial friction point u r fine. If it is in 1st gear after the initial clutch engagement but happens while u r still in 1 st it is an issue.
Mine unfortunately is the latter
