I picked up my car to advise of the 'rattle'. I was taken on a drive with the service guy and identified at which RPMs I could hear the rattling. I go back to pick up my car in the arvo to find that they have done something else to stop the 'rattling' (reworked the transmission so that it doesn't rub on the heat shield?), which hasn't fixed it at all.... The wastegate rattle still exists I believe - it's not that bad really.
Instead, I now have my car back and notice a slight high pitched/buzz noise from the interior which gives me slight headaches and my exhaust doesn't sound quite the same - the DSG farts aren't as loud, the nice burble when in 1st and 2nd gear at the low RPMs is quieter. It's hard to explain, but it feels like the car did prior to having the downpipe installed. I know that it is highly unlikely that they would've removed it, but still... the buzzing... argh.
I hope that this wasn't their 'solution'. This was taken into my purchasing dealership for the 'job'.
