No, it's a huge downfall for all the cars. Constantly adapting to how I drive the car (while I'm constantly adapting to traffic around me) makes for an annoying and sometimes unpredictable experience.
One example is a roundabout on a steep hill near where I live. Sometimes the car doesn't want to go at all because it's shifted up too early/too high, and won't kick down (after responding by giving about 90% throttle, I know about the switch at the end but rarely use that). Other times it holds the gear and revs, and on other times it spins the wheels and flies up. I hope the Mk7 has a constant setting (or 2 or 3 set options to choose from). Sport mode (DSG) is not a solution for metropolitan driving.
