Get these ALOT. Seen guys replaced N80, charcoal canister and breather valve on rocker cover all as a set, usually just for $$. The culprit is 9 times out of 10 the N80, charcoal canister very rarely will block up in a cars lifetime, let alone a second time after its already been replaced. You said all that stuff was fitted 8 months ago, take it back to where it was fitted tell them it's back again, remember 12months part and labour warranty mate. Goodluck.

I've also got a similar fault with my car - just under 3 years old - 50K GTI DSG
When it's cold it misses pretty badly, it's especially bad around the 1000-3000rpm range under load.
Off throttle and idling it seems ok , maybe a touch rough on idle.
I can watch the oil and water temp and when they get to running temp, about 6mins, the car is fine.
The car did show some error codes and I've had the N80 valve, Evap can Tube & Evap Canister replaced.
But after this it's still doing it.
As it only does it for about 6min when really cold it's tricky to show.
Has anyone had this issue and had it resolved?

I had a stutter between 2000 & 3000 rpm, only when the car was cold and after about 5 mins it went away.
Problem solved when engine temp. sensor replaced, no codes came up when car was scanned.

Interesting do you happen to know what the part code of the sensor was by any chance?

Sorry, I don't - my mechanic changed the sensor as a trial, so I didn't get any invoice for it. he did the make the comment that the dealer where he buys his parts from said they were supplying a couple of the sensors every week.

The sensor apparently adjusts the fuel metering according to the engine temperature and if sending the wrong signals doesn't adjust the fuel metering when the engine is stone cold, but it only takes the engine a couple of minutes for the engine to warm up sufficiently.

Looks like my issue was something different, I've just had one of the Injectors replaced and now the issue has gone.
Luckily it was done under warranty.
