That infectious new car smell?

Today I climbed into my car as usual, but something was missing... I have 38742 k's on the clock and noticed that today, the lovely new car smell has disappeared.

Which is fair, seeing as it's not really a new car anymore. But I really loved that smell, and seeing as though the bank balance won't really agree with a new car this year, I've been wondering if any of you have found an air freshener that can replicate it?

I have cloth seats by the way, yes next time around it will be leather.

I didn't try it yet but it sound promissing, I could use it on our old Subaru Forester.

I would get it as well let me know if you go ahead and want to order it.

why would u want to replicate that new car smell? personally, i hate it and is a potential health hazard from the reaction of volatile chemicals.

Well that may or may not be true, but I still prefer it to:

a) french vanilla
b) citrus zest
c) calming lavender

or

d) stale fart

if you have leather seats, just hang a bit of steak under the drivers seat with the heater on and the smell with be back!!!!!!!!! hahah

i only know how to get it back on leather seats.. hehe. sorry.
agree with stephen, the new car smell is in many cases toxic. wiki and read some of the linked studies and articles. dangerous stuff imo.
