Would like all input from past and present VR6 owners.

Has anyone had an experience with a bit of chatter in the 02A gearbox when you sit in neutral (i.e. clutch engaged)? My car has done it since I bought it 6 months ago but would love to know if its something I should be worried about or quite normal in a car 150k+++. It improved with a box oil change (MT90 on advice from Jimmy Mac) but is still noticeable if you have a keen ear.

Almost sounds like timing chains when you put your head next to the coil pack (definitely isnt chains though, goes away when you push the clutch in. Motor is as smooth as silk). ANy input appreciated!

As in the throw out bearing?? Checked that but its recently had a new clutch and bearing put in and doesnt it usually rattle when the clutch is disengaged? The box has recently been out to have the input shaft seal replaced and all clutch components were checked so its gotta be internal hasnt it?

You right, sorry... read it wrong. With the clutch engaged it's normally the Input shaft bearing thats worn.
