Yeh I get more wheel on the 2.0L FSI than the VR6. Just weight over the front I guess.
Thanks for the help hayden. I might invest in some 4s or just cheapo tweeters.

Just cheapos man. They will blow eventually. The difference is not noticeable.
Yeh exactly. Not a huge audiophile. Just want them to fit right and not look crap. Need to sound deaden the doors as well...

I blew the stock tweeters pushing like 10x the power the stock system could to them, but the jaycar ones handled it like a boss, had the setup in my vr6 and moved it to the CL when I changed over, and they had no issues handling a stupid amount of power from an amp (not that I often cranked it fully up, the system in that car would be painfully loud when you turned it up all the way. Do miss it sometimes)
Did you buy them separately to speakers or as a package? I can't find them on the website anywhere.
All good, found em. Do you know how much yours were?

So good you still hang out in the mk3 section here Ben. Passing on your knowledgemust just be habit to see what's happening.
(P.s. received ecu, cheers!)
i bought some fusion splits for the front and 3 ways.
theyre super cheap, i think 80 or under for the split and 60 pr under for the 3s
this was donkeys ago, and i use headphone now so i turn the stereo on once every... well never.
my mum kicks around in a kia cerato auto and it feels like it would do 0-60 in 3 secs when stomped on. feels really quick. feels quicker than the VR, but if i took off that hard in the VR all the time, im certain it would walk it.
cheapy lower power cars matched to auto trans, feel pretty spritely from a stand start. but rolling, or anything higher than 60, and theyre slow as
They were cheap, like less than $20 I think. I cant find them on the site anymore though, not that I looked hard. I put a set of ~$100 coaxials in the front of my car and was very dissapointed, so sold them onto a friend. The stock speakers amped with a new set of tweeters sounded 3x nicer. The stock front speakers aren't bad for what they are, especially ampedNot that thats what you're going to do.
And don't put a set of fusion splits in. Theyre awful. E30 came with a set, they'll be replaced as soon as I can afford to
Is a habbit yeahgives me something to do when I'm bored haha. Good to hear the ECU got there at last, sorry it took so long.
All good boss!
