That'sMe: Sure, but you have to promise not to tell Adam (the SuperModerator) that I've posted OBD11 tweak instructions in a VCDS thread -it's got to be our secret
TMC is done like this:
But you need to make sure that the RDS (Radio Data Service) is enabled on the car. I'm not sure if this is factory set by VW on a mk7.5 - some new model Tiggys don't have this enabled as default. So you have select coding in the second screen above and check this:
You need to check that the entry byte_14_RDS-deactivation is set to No and also (not highlighted in the picture above), make sure that byte13_Radio_Text_Plus is set to Activated
After you make these changes, I've sometimes found that a reset of the MIB unit is necessary (press and hold down the ON/OFF button until the MIB turns-off, then turns-on again)
For the nag screen delete, do this:

Rik: I've not personally implemented the Traffic Sign Recognition tweak, but here's my understanding of the process (in OBD11 speak):
Note: multi-function camera must be installed.
Select module called Dashboard @ address hex17
Select coding
Navigate to Byte 5, enter tick in Bit 2
Select module called Information Control Unit 1 @ address hex5F
Select adaptation
Search for Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2
Select traffic_sign_recognition_0x21 and change setting to enabled
Search for Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2
Select menu_display_road_sign_identification and change setting to enabled
Select menu_display_road_sign_identification_over_thresho ld_high and change setting to enabled
Select module called Front Sensors Driver Assistance System (@ address hexA5)
Select coding
Navigate to Byte 1, enter tick in Bit 0
Select Adaptation
Search and select Display end of speed limit symbol and change to activated
Search and select Display valid additional signs and set value to 00100111
Note: if OBD11 asks for a security code for A5, or 5F modules - enter 20103

I've tried (unsuccessfully) to get rid of the nag screen using VCDS (Ross-Tech V 18.1) but the info provided on this website about doing this process seems to be a bit old or maybe I'm just a bit dim? I am a newbie to this stuff but I have tried to follow the instructions and I don't see exactly the screens as provided. I don't have OBD2. I know it's boring but I have tried to find a clear explanation but have come up short. Is there anyone who could provide some screen shots of the process using the latest version. I have a 7.5R.
Wolfsburg 7.5R. Lapiz Blue hatch DSG with sunroof.
So I tried to code the 4 brake light mode on my 7.5 R and it accepts the adaptation changes but doesn't work. Doesn't break anything either.
I'd also like to find the adaptation for lowering the speed at which the high beam automatically comes on. 60km is too fast for dark residential streets.
