I think that you might be talking about your gear shifter cable going off your description. Can you upload a photo so I can be sure? If you have 1x cable then the car is a DSG, if you have 2x cables...

I would remove your problematic bulbs and make sure there is no corrosion etc that might be causing a bad connection. Any corrosion can be cleaned up with some fine sand paper or a fine wire brush. ...
Hi and welcome. I too have a Mk7 GTI with some mods, and this is also my 3rd Golf (Mk6 GTI, Mk6 R and now Mk7 GTI).
Post up some pics and info about yours!
Hi and welcome. Wait times on new cars is insane aren't they. My wifes parents waited 14 months for a Hyundai SantaFe which they finally got a few months ago.
Hello and welcome Graham. Where did you live before coming to Oz?
Give it time - someone will come up with a way to turn it off.
If the vehicle is under warranty (assuming it is if you have only done 10,000km) then id be getting those lines replaced under warranty.
If no warranty, weight up the cost of replacing the lines...
If it is the big bushing in the pendulum mount, you can more than likely get away with adding one of these:
034Motorsport Aluminium Dogbone Mount Insert – VW Mk5/Mk6 & Audi 8J/8P – AutoInstruct
...
I believe this is what you are looking for: 0CQ598305 - Gen 5 Haldex Pump Repair Kit - VW Golf MK7R & Audi 8V S3/TT/TTS

Is that your car in the photo? If so, this is exactly...
My post was a troll - in response to his troll.
I saw your PM, and I can only hope amunra got one as well about his behavior because he is the instigator.
What a load of bs. How ridiculous...
@manaz. Genuine question. Why is my post removing for "trolling" yet this sarcastic post which is only done to stirr $h!7 is left as is.
Its well known that PZero's are not that great of a tyre anymore. They are a very old design and other tyre makers have caught up and left them behind. Considering their premium price, there are much...
If you have the little plug on the side of the negative terminal on your battery, you should be able to disable the start/stop by unplugging this. Bear in mind, this is considered the crude way of...
Whats warranty :P. Lets the mods begin.
When I bought my Mk6 R brand new I picked it up on a Friday afternoon, 2hrs later it already had an intake fitted that I had bought while waiting for the...
While im not going to try and deny the zoom level is different on these two pics, even Stevie Wonder could see that in the 2nd photo the radiator is pushed several centimetres back towards the engine...
Have I not already said this about 3 times already?
Wow holy moly you are right!!!! Look how badly aligned my radiator is!! That got to be at least a 0.1% angle its on. Do you honestly think...
There would be zero power gains/losses from the resonator. May as well have it refitted if you dont like the sound. The other alternative is to have a smaller resonator installed (aftermarket) which...
[EDIT by Manaz: Enough.]
There is no need to trim any plastic trays if you buy a properly engineered product that fits the car correctly. I'll just leave this here for you so you can see for yourself....
G'day SGB. You have certainly had your fair share of VW's.
Nope it was done a month or so after intercooler install. All sweet - thanks for your concern.
No $h17 Sherlock. The intercooler has mounting tabs on the bottom which slot into specific spots...
Ummmm no. haha. They would have to be literally falling apart to make noise while slowing down. Worn strut tops make noise when going over bumps/undulations/driveways.
LOL its just basic physics mate. The intercooler slots into a dedicated spot in the front clip, so if its thicker - the radiator will move closer to the engine, and the a/c condenser moves closer to...
Bit hard to tell from that video - how hard are you pushing on the engine to reproduce the noise? Its not ideal trying to diagnose stuff like this over the internet without being able to see/drive...
Its do88, not DO888 - so lets get the basics correct. The core is approx 58mm thick on the do88 and it fits just fine - no need to trim any plastics.
And no doubt this core was a standard...
