If you want good euro servicing without rip off pricing, see Ramp Auto.
R36 suspension is soft, don't stress. Perhaps on some bumps you can feel it, but its nothing really and if you're used to well handling cars, it will be fine. The compromise is not worth it to me.
Not sure where they are made, somewhere in Asia likely but IPE aren't some cheap China knock offs. They make specialist products and their exhaust systems sound amazing.
What time is the Evo get?
Nice write up Adam, definitely agree that VW should have manned up and released the R36 like this from factory. How does it sound from within the car, is it as nice or more muted than the you tube...
We need a sound clip if you can!
Nothing easy for NA engines such as the R36 when chasing power. Can be done but big coin required unfortunately. A tune won't do it.
How much was the Supersprint and who did you purchase it through? Pm if need be.
Had my eye on this but wasn't sure if they had local distribution. Do thy now and if so how much is it!?
Ouch. At least they are just base models right?!
Having owned a Mazda and a number of Japanese cars and now a VW. Not sure I could go back. The Euros are just so well put together and I am pretty converted now.
Nice work RWRC. Just got my R36 wagon and I'm in Perth as well so be keen to check your car out in person sometime. What are the specs on your tyres?
And Misla007, I also like what you've done...
Agreed. Creating a sound experience better than the Dynaudio will cost significantly more, but for audio buffs it will be worth it and the comparison bewtween the two night and day.
If you get some decent quality coilovers you can still retain a good ride and have increased handling and better stance.
Nothing tight arsed about that buddy. Tight arsed is like buying her a scooter, with side pram attachment!
Got any pictures of them sitting on your R36? Keen to see and this would help sell them better.
Yeah, big fan of the wagons!
Cheers buddy. Actually, cars I'm looking at are wagons, not that sedan from SA.
Thats the one I'm talking about. Really tempted with that price.
Not concerned with petrol use, but was definitely after the 2009+ models with the white MFD, RNS and sunroof would be nice. Really just wondering if the extra money for a car with 30,000kms less was...
Just trying to decide between going with a car around 40,000km or 80,000kms. All 2009, price variation almost $10k in some cases. Was ideally looking at the lower mileage vehicles but the price...
Hey guys,
Looking at buying an R36 wagon and just wondering if you had any feedback for me on what these cars are like when 60,000+ or nearing 100,000 on the odometer? Are there any issues...
Pointless feature but entertaining for many I would think. Easily amused are us males!
You bought that for your wife's 30th! Damn, wish I could do something like that! Nice one.
