Not sure this is for the 2017 Tiguan so for those owners be careful.

If I select the MIB2 unit that shows the 2017 Tiguan in the list I only see November 2016 maps.

I'm going to try these May...

I believe you have to use the head unit navigation to select the option to display the map on the DAP.

Changing that code shouldn't do anything to navigation display.

Unfortunately no. The mirroring from Nav doesn't support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay mirroring and the system doesn't have Google Maps built in.

Yes I believe it does need the VW card. I think the card has special firmware or similar for it to be identified as genuine.

Actually I checked with the dealer and with VW Australia that the extended warranty is not dealer specific (check with your dealer to be sure of course).
