On my old Passat you took the plastic grommets out and used the hole to locate the roof rack mounts. So I presume they are there for any trim level that might not come with roof bars.

Good luck. Ours went in October 16 and we got it back a week ago!
So we're STILL waiting for an eta on the new mechatronics unit.. Dealer thinks it might be another month, which to me realistically means after Christmas [emoji31]
Our dealer is pressuring VW to...
Yeah it was one week. Hopefully you hear back soon!

Have you heard back from your dealer Gladbach?
We just got a call from the dealer, VW have predictably agreed to cover all costs involved to replace mechatronics unit. But the part is on back...
Just had the same problem with our '17 140TDI, only it was the other gearset. So no reverse gear. Car has done 72,000km. We were also 300km from home so that was a fun trip back.
Dealer has...
I have noticed that the Tiguan will deactivate ACC if your brake light bulb is faulty. This happens to me often as I have a ****y trailer connector. Annoyingly, once it detects a fault it cannot self...
Totally agree!
My Passat was 9 years old when a dealership broke a door handle and of course I had a courtesy free car until they fixed it.
For the record, I’d say taking the headliner out to...

I usually need to refill the washer bottle weekly! Lol
That said I have noticed that the headlamp washers use up a lot of fluid. Our old X5 had the biggest washer bottle I've ever seen and it would...
Ah I see. I don't have that problem as our off ramps all have "exit speed" in the yellow square type of sign that the TSR doesn't pick up.

Yes, not once has it picked up the 110km/h sign as I enter the highway. It still says 60 until I pass the next on ramp..

Love those wheels! I actually prefer the 19 inch over the Aus-spec R-Line 20's

Went to visit my sister in law today which gave us a chance to put the Tig in snow mode! [emoji3]

My Passat makes a sort of electronic buzzing sound for about ten seconds after the ignition is switched off. Has done it since day one, so I presume it's totally normal. Perhaps it's that?

I'm also interested in the bonnet protector. Might be forced to go the clear protective film route if I can't secure one.
