Very nice. VW seems to be handling this issue alot nicer these days.
I think he might be on his own considering the age...He may have a case using mileage and if the vehicle was under recall but never got the dsg oil changed.
Anyone in Australia installed the Kevlar clutch?
Nice to hear that you got a good result with the mfl gearbox!
I'm wondering how many persons have had their entire gearboxes replaced.
Wow. I don't blame you for leaving at all.
This gives a small description of what PR codes are:
How to find your PR Codes
By the way have you checked out the cost of used mechatronics vs an entire used gearbox and mechatronic unit?

Looks like mfl should work however to confirm you should try to match the PR codes just to be...

I believe those codes are related to the bell housing of the gearbox. Some codes are interchangeable. For example a Passat and golf can have the same dq250 but different bell housings. You need to...
Just to provide follow up info: VW agreed to replace my gearbox. They paid 100% on parts and 30% on labour. Car is back on the road and working fine again.
Goodwill was offered even though I do...
Ok by the time gear 2 is selected the synchromesh for gear 3 has already done it's work then?
Does anyone think the symptoms are related to the clutch pack?
Yeah it would seem new gearbox needed. The fault error in the adaptation points to synchromesh though. Pre selected doesn't mean selected so when you try to engage 3rd the synchromesh comes into play...

Car is being driven in manual mode but the noise also occurs in D3 as well.

Pic of basic setting attempt being interrupted with error code.
I have a 2012 VW with a 1.4l twinchargers coupled with a 7 speed dsg. Over the last six months I would hear grating noises intermittently on gears 2 and 4 just after engaging them but saw no error...
For the sparkplugs? I would stay oem: 03C905601B. These are made by NGK for VW.
NGK part number : SIZFR6B8EG
I've run these for 127k km and had zero issues. Note do not use 03c905601A as the...
Stage 1 shouldn't wear out your clutches so just leave them. Have fun! Spark plugs and maybe ignition coils just to be safe.
It will throw a code if you remove the catalyst or if you choose a catalyst that doesn't perform as the oem one does.
The o2 sensor after the cat will sense more environmentally unfriendly...
A guy on vortex took out the down pipe and chiseled it out. It was for a beetle in Europe that used the twincharger. The pics from that thread died I believe.
Will look thru hard drive to see if...
I suspect the cat holds you back more than the pipe diameter. Some guys keep the stock pipe but knock out the car totally. Car would throw a code for no cat but you can get a flash for that.
What's your budget?
Stock internals?! I'm sure if I just browse the purchase page for a k03 hybrid my Pistons will crack.
