I have exactly the same as you & am very happy with it. It does everything so effortlessly. Mine has now done 55,000 klms.

Thanks Kleung. I knew there would be a logical reason.
I've been meaning to ask, why this message comes up on the MFD for a few seconds everytime I turn the car off & pull the key out?
Anyone know?
The MFD should tell you when it is due. I would be very surprised if it is more than 12 months intervals.
Yep, spoke with Peter & he had to do some investigations & came back & said although mechanically the R36 & B7 V6 are the same, there are some differences in the ECU which he said if done will not...
Who cares about the time anyway!
Now that i agree with! Nothing can replace the drivers assessment of a situation & changing gears accordingly. BUT, it is a nice little comprimise to avoid the manual clutch use 5 days a week in peak...
Mmmmm. I've never taken the time to actually test the time taken under either method...bit too busy:P
It has nothing to do with being in control or not. The auto hold maintains brake pressure. If...
All that work for a clock? Not much bang for buck, plus you lose the little drawers.
I agree. Why couldn't VW have enabled so brake light stays on until you move off. I think this was an oversight as I was told by VW theintroduction of this button was from customer feedback on the...
The pros far out weigh the cons. Your foot is never far away from either pedal & becomes a natural process once you become accustomed to it. If someone was potentially going to hit you from behind, I...
Isn't there a clock on the head unit? I would prefer the extra storage too.
Autohold saves you having to hold your foot on the brake at all when stopped. Very handy particularly in peak hour. Every car should have one. This is regardless of whether you drive the car in auto...
For some reason the B7 V6 can't be done according to SuperChips. What a shame!
Makes more sense now as that is how mine works too. Would have been nice though.:(
Still going to get road grime etc that will need cleaning. I like having a clean car :P
I use nanolex on the car & rims as a polish & also use a nanolex wash which maintains a layer of protection. I find that if I wash the car weekly, 95% of all brake dust etc just washes off.
Mine is coming onto 50,000 klms & I was told at the 45,000 klm service that the front pads & discs will need replacing at the 60,000 klm service which they say is quite normal for my sort of driving....
I was hoping that it would stay in "auto" mode so when I slow down to under 15 kph & I was within a certain distance from an object the OPS will activate automatically without me having to manually...
Thanks Hillbilly. I'll try as you suggest & report back but suspect mine will just turn off once I exceed 15 kph. If so I think only think that yours has been coded differently.
I contacted a VW dealer & they claim that different versions of the B7 would have different updates to software etc. Not sure I entirely believe that.
Apparently the way that the OPS is working...
OK, I read the manual again & it does mention about having this in auto mode. It says switch on then select reverse & then select forward gear & drive off at more than 15 kph. Tried on mine & this...
The RS4 is a lovely car but a significant price hike.
Just for the record, I have a B7 with Park Assist 2 & am certain the front sensors don't operate unless I either change to reverse first or press the button next to the gear lever. Puzzling!! I am...
Quite helpful. Cheers.
