I’d be interested in the complete glovebox and sunvisors.
And if it has La Castallet wheels, they would be tempting too...
Late model cabriolets (ie clipper kit ones) came with gti brakes.
From memory, You just need the callipers and then get new disks + pads.
I just machined off the extra thickness on a set of bike pads...
The material is the same on both types, just the thickness that’s different.
Car is going to run amazing when you are finished with it.
Thankfully the other side was much better, but still bad enough to need fixing.
Cleaned all the seam sealer from this side to check for rust, and man was that a mission...
...
Found a little more rust than I’d like today...
But, on the plus side, the front brakes are nice and “new” now...

Excellent news...
2nd issue will most likely be worn selector bushings, or,even worn synchros...
If you never rush it, it will probably be ok.
Slightly crack the line at the injector, Put a rag around it, turn on the fuel pump, and crank it.
There should be no bubbles in the lines, and the rag should get wet with fuel.
Test all 4 with a...
Definitely need to organise a meet up for Canberra region...
Other than you, I haven’t seen them in years.
Another Question is, who will have their car registered first... you or me?

Probably about time I put my new baby up here...
But, not without a little back story...
Here is my old baby......
Damn that filter needed doing...
Does she run now?
Not uncommon for the injectors to get gummed up when sitting for a long time too.
Whilst I’m not normally a diesel guy, happy to lend a hand...
You get that 3 year itch, and have to scratch it...
Ps. Can’t wait to pick up my new baby.
Yes I’ve done stage 1 APR.
Yes it’s better.
Makes it feel much closer to a gti in performance.
Definitely how it should of come.
I want to go stage 2, but the cost is putting me off...
This is definitely a wide spread issue as the ~08.5+ Eos and ~08.5 Mk5 GTI also have this same failure...
Unfortunately, unlike the US, there is no extended warranty here for this either.
So if you...
Having just dealt with an 'older' (2001) Audi, I can say that, if you plan on letting the car sit for more than a fortnight, DON'T leave E10 in it...
Run it down, and fill it back up with regular...
So, here's an interesting one...
I gave my girl an oil and filter change on the weekend, and, it seems that she is now running up to 1/2 a litre per 100 more efficiently...
Old oil / filter was...
But it's not a Mk2 is it...
ps. Nice find, and congrats.
I will regret selling the Cabby till the day I get another...
Now stop rubbing salt into the wound Paul.
Still, I wouldn't have this lovely car without selling it, so there is that.
It probably got missed as it looks like we were typing at the same time, so I'll repeat it here.
They are listed on the tyroola site too, but I did the transaction through the suprecheapauto site....

I believe that it was just the 1x SuperCat that was stupidly dangerous. I bought the car off of someone who had damaged the inside edge of one of the front tyres, so I had a local store order in the...
It was $85 to have 6x Tyres shipped here, and ~$30 per tyre for fitment.
So, instead I had them delivered to the AutoCrew Narellen shop for free, and ~$22 per tyre for fitment...
I bought them in...
I had a lumpy idle on my Eos shortly after getting it.
Turned out to be the PCV Valve assembly.
Try removing the oil cap whilst it's idling, if it doesn't change the way it idles, it's probably...
