Did you check the site? Custom Spooling is in Ireland. I particularly checked to see what they offered for "Big Arse" F250's - nothing! They mainly target european vehicles.

I hardly think that use of a starting fluid could blow the rocker cover. There would have to be an explosion in the crankcase to cause that to happen. [unless you are spraying in the oil filler?]....

I think you are telling a furphy! That would make 90% of diesel vehicles on Australian roads illegal and a fair percentage of vehicles in new car showrooms would also not meet that standard.

BAD IDEA - The heat shrink tube had come loose on the dipstick after a few short drives. It stayed between the knobs but was to loose to risk leaving it on. Back to the drawing board!

Sounds easier and cleaner. Does this allow most of the oil in the filter/cooler assy. to drain down into the sump ?

Do you just loosen the cap under the cooler and let it go? Messy business hey!

Interesting that you should ask! The invoice lists 071115562A [Highway - $14.50 +gst]. The package [genuine VW made in France] is marked 071115562C.
The removed element was marked 045115466C - VWAG...
