I phoned camden gti just for a chat and was diagnosed as a dodgy heater core and was told to bring the car in to bypass the dash saving the floor and carpet.

I was expecting to pay 900ish bucks...

took the car to camden gti and the boys in the shop showed me the drain hole in the firewall, opened the rubber plug and woosh out came the water.
no more drips on the feet and after...

the water is coming in at a fair rate (the carpet is soaked). this is why i am trying to sort it before there is a problem.

well I cleaned the leaves from under the plastic window trim. couldnt find the pollen/cabin filter (do I have one on a 97 cabrio?) also took the glovebox off to see if I could find any more clues.but...

I'll have a look tomorrow. any other suggestions while I'm under there? any links to pollen filter cleaning would help.

I gave the car a good clean last week.so no leaves.
how do i get to the amp cable? do I have to remove glovebox.and how do I do this(might try this anyway).

There is water dripping from behind the back of the glovebox onto the carpet.

I picked up my wheels from the powdercoaters on friday,washed the car while the tires were being fitted and I put my wheels on the car yesterday.

why do you want the car to go faster? You've got a cabrio, drop the roof and go as slow as you can.
just put some spf 30 on before you leave.
