I'm surprised that rotors are going so quickly. In my p-plater days I managed to get through two gear boxes and one diff on an old rwd corolla and it still had original rotors up front (drums on the...
In my case I was working night and day and weekends and more. So the couple of hours spent getting to and from an APR dealer (or any other tuner) was not an option. Hence 'having a go'. Plus I liked...
I have the MY10 118 TSI. I have tried both the viezu and bluefin units on it; neither unit can read the file.
Feedback so far is that it may just be a funky ECU version rather than encryption per...
In our house we just call it the Skoda and leave it at that.
Hmmm. That turbo upgrade looks like it would solve a lot of my problems, like being late for work all the time...
I don't see how the dealer can argue that the clock starts ticking before the engine is ticking over and you are in the drivers seat for the first time.
I would go straight to the fair trading...
I'm trying to work out where an air filter fits in either of those intakes?
So you managed to pick up a demonstrator RS for under 35k? That is good going. Well done.
Very nice, thanks for the photos. Something to drool over. Enjoy finishing the build.
A bit too brown for me but I think those wheels go well.
Agreed it is pretty rude to drive off like that. I've left a note in the past and because it was an older car they called me to say thanks but they don't care.
I'm trying the touch up guys now due...
They are starting to get a litting confusing model line ups. I agree it is a little strange to do the 103tdi in 4x4 but not the 125tdi. On the plus side, it is good to see bluetooth is finally...
Inner City driving is a different story in the 1.8tsi. I tend to average 11l/100k, which is still a whole lot better than the 19l/100k the magna it replaced chewed through. Out in the country I see...
I'd definitely like a drive please...
Did I see that stage 4 engine using the stock (plastic?) inlet manifold? I was only moderately surprised to see a plastic inlet manifold on my humble 1.8tsi...
So what is the latest on this one, it has gone quiet for a while. Is the car up and running like it should now?
ok I like the train joke
Whoa Woofy that sales guy sounds like a bad experience. At least he didn't lie to you though. When I test drove mine, they took it with me as a passanger to the fuel station for a refill first and...
Thanks for posting, didn't realise you could play with some of this stuff.
Thanks for that, good to see the Fabia on the way. Liked the RS wagon in the targa.
Ah ok thanks for that one
Just out of interest - what is a DV - and a PCV?
I just came home with a 520 ltr 2nd hand fridge. It was huge. I didn't by a wagon for that but nice to be able to fit these things in.
I got mine second hand (6 months old). So I wasn't expecting much. But I think what would make a difference is fixed price servicing, it is hard to justify what they charge.
I struggle to understand what this half hour learning process is - a computer is a computer and a remap is a remap - what is this transition about?
Anyway good luck sorting out the superchips...
